Description
The Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours) is an 80 unit program over 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time to incorporate research thesis.
Program learning outcomes
On successful completion of the program students will have:
- The ability to effectively collect, analyse and organise evidence in support of evidence-based practice.
- The ability to engage in scientific dialogue using evidence from scientific publication.
- The ability to critically reflect on, and propose improvements to, the provision of health and maternity services for childbearing women and their families.
- The ability to practise both autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- The ability to communicate sensitively and appropriately as a professional.
- The ability to act to enhance the professional development of self and others.

Admission information
Admission requirements
Admission to this program is available to Australian citizens and residents only.
Eligibility for admission to this program is based on applicants having completed a Bachelor degree in Midwifery with a minimum GPA of 5.0.
In exceptional circumstances, an application which does not meet the above requirements may be considered.
Domestic applicants should apply by submitting the End-On Honours Application Form.
